The Study of Explanation of Virtue in the Western Virtue Ethics

Virtue ethics has become a hotspot and developed quickly since the English philosopher G.E.M.Anscombe wrote Modern Moral Philosophy in 1958.In the development of virtue ethics the explanation of virtue has become the core of battle between virtue ethics and rule ethics.In studying the different explanations we can recognize the importance of the concept of virtue in virtue ethics,at the same time deeply understand the structure of the nature of morality and the direction of development of ethics in the future.
