Abstract
Shanghai-Nanjing intercity railway crosses the existing railway of Shanghai-Nanjing railway in HQSDK2+715.403.The minimum distance between the No.74 bridge pier pile cap of the intercity railway and the existing railway is 0.78m,so the construction condition is greatly restricted. In addition, the existing railway's traffic is very heavy, and the existing railway's settlement must be less than 2mm when the foundation excavation is in construction. For these questions, this paper provides construction schemes of the pier foundation excavation, analyses the structure intensity, the settlement and its stability under the action of train's load by using methods of the resolution and finite element method. It shows that the plan can meet the engineering construction requirements and can provide useful information for similar engineering.
