Abstract

The mechanism of deformation and failure is the foundation of recognizing the deformation process of a landslide, and is also the theoretical basis of the landslide prevention.Based on the engineering geological investigation of 2# landslide of Heiduo landslide group in Diebu County,Gansu Province, this paper summarizes the geological structure of the slope and the stability factors of the landslide, analyzes the deformation mechanism, and verifies the deformation mechanism of the landslide via FLAC numerical simulation. The research results show that 2# landslide is a traction-accumulative landslide and its mode of deformation and failure belongs to creep slippery-tension type;the deformation damage is not only controlled by the internal factors, such as topography, geomorphology, rocks, geological structure and so on,but also influenced by external dynamic factors, such as rainfall, human activities and so on.At the end,the paper points out that, for the idea of landslide prevention, great attention should be paid to controlling the deformation of the accumulative body and the drainage work of the slope.
