Abstract
At the different function areas of Shangluo City, heavy metal pollution in soil was evaluated with the single factor pollution index and comprehensive pollution index. From the single pollution index, the commercial, cultural and educational areas were mainly Hg-based. The industrial area was mainly Cu, Pb and Zn. The park area was mainly Cd, while heavy metal pollution in soil in agricultural area was lower than the stipulated pollution level. The result indicated that the comprehensive pollution index was 0.98,heavy metals in soil were still in a clean state, but it has already been on the alert level.
