Abstract

The cotyledon and hypocotyl from tomato seedlings‘09-22'were used to regenerate on the media supplemented with different 6-BA and NAA/IAA concentrations. The results showed that IAA was more favorable for bud regeneration than NAA.Callus induction rate reached up to 100%for both explants, but callus from cotyledon grew better than that from hypocotyl.Furthermore, the rate of adventitious bud differentiation of cotyledon was slightly higher than that of hypocotyl. However, shoots from hypocotyl rooted quicker and better than that from cotyledon. The optimum medium for adventitious bud differentiation was MS+6-BA 1.0mg/L+IAA 0.5mg/L.And MS+IAA 0.1mg/L was the best rooting medium.
