Abstract
A novel DSP based fully digital control system for a brushless DC servo motor is proposed. The newly produced DSP is used, which has the performance of fast speed and rich peripheral device. By utilizing digital PI control strategies, using an optical encoder as sensor of speed and position , the speed control of the servo system is implemented. The system architecture and software of the servo drive are introduced. A range of experiments about speed control has been carried out. The test results are given.
