Abstract

An Al-Si diffusion layer was prepared on the nickel-base superalloy K4104 by a slurry method. The microstructure, microhardness, oxidation resistance at 1 000 ℃ and hot corrosion resistance at 900 ℃ of the Al-Si layer were analyzed. The results show that the Al-Si layer is uniform and its microhardness is higher than the superalloy substrate. The oxidation and hot corrosion resistance of the K4104 alloy with the Al-Si layer are better than that without layer.
