Abstract
Objective To establish an RP-HPLC method for simultaneous determination of(-)3,4-di-hydroxyl-phenylacetyl tartrate and chicoric acid in Ixeris sonchifolia(Bge.) Hance. Methods These acids were successfully analyzed on a C18 reversed-phase chromatographic column(4.6mm×250mm,5μm)by gradient elution with water and acetonitrile as the mobile phase at room temperature.Detection wavelength was set at 328nm. Results The contents of(-)3,4-di-hydroxyl-phenylacetyl tartrate and chicoric acid were 1.50~3.80 mg·g-1,4.20~8.25 mg·g-1,respectively,and the mean recoveries of the two invested compounds were 98.48%(RSD=0.61%),97.94%(RSD=0.64%),respectively. Conclusion The developed new method is simple, precise, accurate, and reliable for quality evaluation of Ixeris Sonchifolia(Bge.) Hance.
