Abstract
A FEA model of main components of model 1130 diesel engine, including block, crankshaft, flywheel, cylinder head, was developed.By applying reasonable boundary conditions and loads,a nonlinear contact analysis was performed, and much worthful information, such as the stress distribution of each component, the tensile force variation of cylinder head bolt, the pressure variation of cylinder head gasket, the contact force distribution of bearings, were obtained at prestress work condition and normal work condition. The analysis results show that the block has lower stress level, and the cylinder head gasket has an enough ability for sealing.FEA is a better solution for structure design and performance improvement of diesel engine.
