AIDS/HIV-related high risk sexual behavior and the infection of HIV among students of men who have sex with men(MSM)

Abstract

Objective To study AIDS/HIV-related high risk sexual behavior and the infection of HIV among students of men who have sex with men(MSM) and to provide intervention strategies for them.Methods Through snowball sampling,106 MSM of university students were anonymously inquired by face to face interview,and their HIV antibody were tested.Results The awareness rate of AIDS was 76.41%.Average age of their first time sex was(17.91±1.60) years old,and(18.21±1.70) years old of their first time homosexual behavior.About 73.58% of them had anal sex with men in the past six months,and only 15.38% of them used condom persistently in the past six months and 28.21% of them used condom during last sex with men.One case of HIV was found.Conclusion The MSM group has more self-identity feeling,and the rate of HIV knowledge was lower.There are more unfixed sexual partners,lower condom using rate and certain degree drug-using behavior.
