Investigation on HIV/AIDS related knowledge and behavior among men who sex with men of university students.

[Objective] To understand HIV/AIDS related knowledge and behavior among men who have sex with men of university students. [Methods] Through snowball sampling, MSM of university students were anonymously inquired by face to face interview. All data were analyzed by software SPSS 13.0 . [Results] 300 cases investigated were from 22 colleges and universities. Their average age was 20.8±1.3 years old. UNGASS indictor of HIV / AIDS knowledge was 56.0%. Average age of their first time sex was 17.9±1.8, and 18.2±1.7 of their first time homosexual behavior. 98.7%of them had anal sex with men in the past six months, and the median number of male sexual partners Was 3. 44.3% of them used condom persistently in the past six months and 75.0% of them used condom during last sex with men. 9.7% of them had infected STD and 50.0% accepted HIV antibody test during last one year. Internet, bars / clubs, baths, parks / public toilets were the main sites for seeking male sexual partners, in which they patronized Internet every 3 days, and patronized bars / clubs every 15 days. [Conclusion] The status of high level of knowledge, but multi-sexual partners and low condom use was also widespread in MSM of university students. It is urgent to conduct intervention towards MSM of university students.
