Abstract
Objective: To observe the effect of dexmedetomidine on post-anesthesia recovery in patients with thoracic surgery.Methods: Totally 60 patients with thoracic surgery were randomly divided into three groups.They were injected with dexmedetomidine 0.5 and 1 μg·kg-1(D1 and D2) with minipump for 10 min at 30 min before the end of surgery,or intravenously injected with physiological saline(control).MAP,HR and BIS were drawn at following 4 time points: preoperative time(T0),recovery time(T1),extubation time(T2) and 5 min after extubation time(T3).Spontaneous breathing recovery time,call time to eye opening,extubation time,OAA/S score and restlessness were recorded.Results: MAP and HR in control group at T1,T2 and T3 were significantly increased compared with groups D1 and D2 as well as with those of preoperative time(P0.05).The OAA/S score and restlessness in groups D1 and D2 were significantly decreased(P0.05).Compared with control group and group D1,BIS and OAA/S score were significantly decreased in group D2(P0.05).Spontaneous breathing recovery time,call time to eye opening,extubation time were not significantly different among three groups.Conclusion: Dexmedetomidine can suppress extubation stress and relieve restlessness after general aneathesia,and 0.5 μg·kg-1 of dexmedetomidine can produce a satisfactory sedation after the operation.
