Abstract

After analysis and comparison between Manufacture Resource Planning (MRPⅡ), Just in Time (JIT) and Theory of Constraints (TOC) with regard to their advantages, disadvantages and feasibility, a new production management method namely MTJ was proposed through combination of MRPⅡ, TOC and JIT based on different requirements from levels of production planning management and control. Production planning management and control model was constructed by this method. With this model, MRPⅡ was oriented to enterprise level taking charge of Master Production Schedule(MPS), Material Requirement Planning(MRP), and monthly/weekly component parts planning on various workshops. TOC was oriented to workshop level taking charge of daily production planning and scheduling and order release on job shop. JIT was oriented to production field level taking charge of planning execution, production control and manufacturing state feedback. Finally, the operation logic of the model was described, and how to learn from the three theories' strong points to offset one's weakness for MTJ was analyzed.
