Therapeutic Effects of Early Rehabilitation Training on Dysphagia after Acute Cerebral Infarction

Abstract

Objective:To investigate the therapeutic effects of early rehabilitation training on dysphagia in patients with acute cerebral infarction.Methods:Ninety patients with acute cerebral infarction suffering swallowing disorders were randomly divided into rehabilitation treatment group and control group.Both groups have been treated with conventional neurological therapy and the treatment group with the additional rehabilitation training.The severity of dysphagia in both the groups were assessed two and four weeks after treatment.Results:The VFSS scores were significantly improved in both the groups after treatment.The rehabilitation treatment showed a more satisfactory outcome than the control group(P0.05).Conclusion:The early swallowing training can improve the dysphagia in patients with acute cerebral infarction.
