Abstract

Objective:To investigate the characteristics, treatment and prevention of ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome (OHSS).Methods:From June 2007 to June 2009,35 cases of moderate and severe OHSS inpatients were retrospectively analyzed in the Reproductive Center of the 174th hospital of People's Liberation Army. Results:There were 35 moderate and severe OHSS cycles in 500 controlled ovarian super-stimulation cycles, the incident rate was 7%.The main clinical manifestations included abdominal pain、abdominal distension、nausea、weight gain, even hydrothorax 、ascites、dyspnoea、hemoconcentration、increased volume of ovarian, and so on.After the comprehensive therapy, all of them cured,no pregnancy was terminated. Conclusions:Individualization dosage regimen should be taken into the controlled ovarian hyperstimulation (COH) with drugs. The OHSS should be prevented, and the moderate and severe patients should be closely observed and rationally cured.
