Abstract

A new method for the determination of trace lead in natural water samples by flame atomic absorption spectrometry with solvent extraction flow injection was proposed. Lead complexed with APDC at pH 2.5, extracted with MIBK. Experiment conditions and manifold parameters were investigated in detail. The detection limit of this method was 3.1 μg/L. The method has been applied to the determination of trace lead in East Lake water. The results were in good agreement with certified values with RSD of 2.7% (n=12) and the recoveries were 96%~106%.
