Abstract
Objective To investigate the significance of thyroid calcification for diagnosis of thyroid carcinoma. Methods: Retrospiective analysis of 77 thyroid nodules' pre-operative ultrasonic and postoperative pathologic results. Results: benign nodules 20,calification was macro-calcification while malignant 56,calcification was micro-calcification.Conclusions: Thyroid nodules with calcification especially micro-calcification is considered to be the most specific sign of thyroid crcinoma,so the detection of it should be an important diagnostic criterion.
A significance statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
