Abstract

Objective:To investigate the effects of Resveratrol on the proliferation and apoptosis of gastric cancer cell lines. Methods:Gastric cancer cell lines BGC823 and SGC7901 were treated with Resveratrol(0~150 μmol / L) for different time(24~ 72 h).The proliferation, apoptosis and survivin protein expression of gastric cancer cells were detected by the CCK-8 kit, flow cytometry and Western blot, respectively. Results:Resveratrol inhibited the proliferation of BGC823 and SGC7901 in dose-and time-dependant model. The early and late apoptosis rates of BGC823 and SGC7901 were highly increased by treatment of 150 μmol / L Resveratrol for 72 h,while Survivin protein expression decreased significantly(all P 0.05).Conclusion:Resveratrol inhibits the proliferation and induces the apoptosis of BGC823 and SGC7901,in which the down-regulation of survivin protein may be involved.
