Abstract
Objective:To evaluate the effect of hemoperfusion in clearing plethoric digoxin in vivo. Methods:Forteen patients with serious digoxin poisoning were divided into two groups. One was treated by hemoperfusion plus medicine and the another with medicine only. The electrocardiogram in the stage of hemoperfusion and the treatment results of the two groups were analysed. Results:The changes of electrocardiogram show that digitalis poisoning was corrected and 9 patients(9/10) were rescued in the group treated with hemoperfusion plus medicine. All 4 patients treated with medicine only died. Conclusions:Hemoperfusion may clear plethoric digxin in vivo.
