Abstract
Objective:To study the changes of the expression of bcl_2 and bax in chronic spinal cord injury(SCI)of rats. Methods:According to the chronic progressive compressive spinal cord injury model of rats,30 Wistar rats were divided into control group and SCI group.Hematoxylin_eosin staining, immunohistochemistry and TUENL methods were used to examine the expression of bax and bcl_2 in rats' spinal cord. The positive immunohistochemistry cells of bcl_2 and bax were observed by light microscope and analyzed by computer image analysis system. Results:After spinal cord injury,CBS was increased and the expression sequences of bax protein in SCI group were observed more obvious than those in control group while the expression of bcl_2 no changed significantly. Conclusion:The progressive compression may increase synthesis of bax in spinal cord and inhibit the recovery of behavioral function of experimental animals.
