A Cultural Interpretation of Fugu County Dialect

Abstract

A dialect is a direct and realistic expression of the local culture.Fugu County dialect,which belongs to Jin(Shanxi Province) Language Area of the northwestern sub-dialect within North China dialectal region,retains not only its refined historical culture but also the folk culture of primitive simplicity and peculiar ethnic culture.This paper attempts to interpret this dialect from the cultural perspective.
