A Review of Qian Zai

Qian Zai is the poetic forefather of Qian Long poetic circles. He is one of the poets who pursues the perfect of article skill assiduously. It is found that the comments of his are mainly poems and notes with sensibility when reviewing the researches of Qian Zai. This kind of felling-alike review has the shortcoming of meaning not fully expressed in words. Since the 1980's, Qian Zai’s poetry gains the scholars’ attention. The field of study is comprehensive and penetrating. Especially Qian Zhong-shu’s and Yan Di-chang’ contributions can not be ignored. But is also has its limitations. Further research should be made in order to get an accurate historic position to Qian Zai’s poetry.
