Abstract

Objective To isolate and identify the chemical constituents from the flowers of Trollius chinensis. Methods Compounds were isolated by various kinds of column chromatography methods and preparative TLC,and their structures were identified by the physico-chemical characters and the spectral analysis. Results Fourteen compounds were isolated and their structures were identified as pectolinarigenin(1),acacetin(2),cirsimaritin(3),orientin(4),2″-O-(2′″-methylbutyryl)-isoswertisin(5),esculetin(6),2-(4′-hydroxyphenyl)-1-nitroethane(7),protocatechuic acid(8),methyl veratrate(9),methyl E-p-coumarate(10),vanillic acid(11),p-hydroxybenzonic acid(12),methyl p-hydroxybenzoate(13),and trolline(14),respectively.Conclusions Compounds 1-2,6-10 are isolated from Trollius genus for the first time, and compounds 11-13 are isolated from this plant for the first time.
