Abstract
The Carboniferous strata in Awulale area of Xinjiang distribute in south chain of Aburele and Dalde mountains. The sequence of strata, feature, paleontologic fossil and deposit environment of late Carboniferous Keguqinshan formation in Awulaleshan area of Xinjiang are described. The existence of late Carboniferous Keguqinshan formation is confirmed in the area by the discovery of angular unconformity and paleontologic data.
