Cross-resistance of Musca domestica to common used insecticides

Abstract

Objective To study the cross-resistance of three resistant strains of Musca domestica to five kinds of insecticides and supply evidence for using insecticides reasonably.Methods Topical application method. Results The results showed that DDVP-resistant strain was crossly resistant to BPMC and Permethrin. Musca domestica had no resistance to cypermethrin. The coefBcient of and-DDT was 0.16. It showed negative resistance cross BPMC-resistant strain was crossly resistant to DDW and Permethrin. And Permethrin-resistant strain was crossly resistant to Cypermethrin and DDT. Negative cross-resistance was found in DDVP-resistant strain with DDT, BPMC-resistant strain with Cypermethrin. Conclusion Cross-resistance appeared when a single kind of insecticide was used for a long time. It was necessary to use insecticides reasonably.
