Abstract
The essence of Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM) is to improve therapeutic effects. In the article, the mode of syndrome differentiation based on syndrome unit composing was used to diagnose and treat hypertension.According to this mode,13 syndrome unit and 4 common syndrome differentiation were used to diagnose hypertension. The 13 syndrome units include stagnation of qi syndrome, stagnation of blood syndrome, phlegm syndrome, cold coagulation syndrome,fire-heat syndrome, syndrome of deficiency of qi,syndrome of deficiency of blood, syndrome of deficiency of yin, syndrome of deficiency of yang, and cardia syndrome, liver syndrome, spleen syndrome and kidney syndrome. The 4 common syndrome differentiations include intermingled mixed phlegm and blood stasis syndrome, deficiency yin causing predominant yang syndrome, deficiency of kidney yang syndrome, and deficiency of qi and blood syndrome. The main symptoms and tongue, pulse of the 13 syndrome units and 4 common syndrome differentiations were given, and corresponding treatment methods were provided. This diagnosis and treatment mode based on TCM theory will be helpful to determine standard TCM project for hypertension,so as to improve practice and standard level of treatment based on syndrome differentiation.
