Abstract

Control water level of impounding Scheme in September is a good method to decrease the risk of super flood in the impoundment period ahead of design schedule.With the increase of the using time of reservoir,the sediment deposition can cause big loss of the reservoir volume,and which will affect the confirmation of the control water level in September greatly.In this paper,the control water level in September is studied considering the impact of sediment deposition by the mathematic model.It is shown that,comparing with the original control water level without considering the impact of sediment deposition,the impounding scheme of control water level considering the impact of sediment deposition can decrease the risk of flood control deeply.Though the benefit of power generation decreased at the same time,the amount of decreased power generation is small.
