Effect of Trimetazidine Hydrochloride in Treatment of Stable Angina Pectoris:Analysis of 50 Cases

Objective To investigate the role of trimetazidine hydrochloride in the prevention and treatment of stable angina pectoris.Methods A total of 50 patients with stable angina pectoris were randomly divided into observation group and control group,25 patients for each group.Patients in the control group were treated with conventional treatment of angina pectoris,while the observation group was treated with additional Trimethazidine Hydrochloride(20 mg per time,tid).After 6 months of treatment,the angina attacking frequency,duration,and the product of heart rate multiplied by systolic blood pressure at the end of treadmill exercise test was compared with that before the treatment.Results The overall improvement rate in angina was 92%.There was no significant difference in the product of heart rate multiplied by systolic blood pressure.Conclusion Trimetazidine hydrochloride can significantly reduce exercise-induced angina pectoris,reduce attack frequency,and improve the exercise tolerance of heart.
