Abstract
The structural bending stiffness,torsion stiffness and low-order modal analysis methods and principles of auto body are studied by means of the Finite Element Method(FEM).According to the mechanical characteristics of typical car body,the different stiffness and modal analysis methods of body structure are researched in the various stages of the design,as well as structure improving methods.Constructing the finite element model of a car,then the improvement measures are used according to the FEM analysis result,succeeded in its stiffness and modal performance to the design requirements.
