Briefly Comment on Einstein and His Contributions to Science

It first of all briefly introduces Einstein's life, especially his years in the Swiss patent office at Berne, and lists at least three factors accounting for Einstein's great achievements in science. Second, it reviews and summarizes his scientific accomplishments and methods, appraises the Theory of Relativity and its philosophic significance, i.e., its important and far-reaching influence on the progress of modern physics as well as the methods of human thought. Finally it recalls Einstein's affiliation with China, which features mostly his personal contact with ZHOU Pei-yuan ,SHU Xing-bei. It is written as a memorial to 100th anniversary of the publication of the Theory of Relativity.
