An Inquiry into the Peasants' Association Led by the Chinese Communist Party during the National Revolution Period

The Peasants' Association during the National Revolution was the earliest rural revolutionary organization,which was different in nature from any previous peasants' association.Party members played an important role in founding the Peasants' Association and gradually became the leaders.Furthermore,the Peasants' Association itself also displayed distinctive class characteristics;it later grew to become the backbone for transforming the rural society.The peasant movement during this period also provided experience and lessons for the following revolutionary civil war led by the Chinese Communist Party.
