Abstract

The sampling of soil was done in the vegetable garden soils in Anning district of Lanzhou. The levels of Cu,Pb,Zn,Cr and Hg in soil samples were determined by Inductive Coupled Plasma Emission Spectrometer.According to the soil environment quality standard(GB15618-1995),the classification and the assessment of the single pollution index and comprehensive pollution index were done to the detection result. The result showed that the soil of Anning district in Lanzhou city was not polluted by the heavy metals(Cu,Pb,Zn,Cr and Hg)in the vegetable garden soil. Both the single index and the synthetic index of the soil pollution were less than 1,indicating that they met the requirements of soil environment for producing pollution-free food.
