Abstract

The present study investigates the relationship between non-English majors' tolerance of ambiguity and English learning strategies.Empirical evidence proves the significant correlation between tolerance of ambiguity and the use of learning strategies.Students who have different degrees of ambiguity tolerance significantly differ from each other in the use of learning strategies, indicating that tolerance of ambiguity is an important factor influcening learners' choice and use of learning strategies.
