Abstract
ZHU Xi's theory of knowledge acquisition by researches was an important ideological resource in the remarks system of the Confucian school of idealist philosophy in the Song and Ming Dynasties and had a great influence in ancient Chinese ideological history.Zhu Xi's explanation of the theory originated from Da Xue was inclined to understand it through cognition. However,as a confucianist,Zhu Xi's phiolsophy's end-result was value. Therefore, there formed some contradiction between Zhu Xi's cognitive explanation and his basic philosophical stand of the priority of value, which inevitably made Zhu Xi's theory fall into knowledge's being in contradication with value.
