Liu Fenglu's Discussions on Zuo Zhuan and the Qing Dynasty's Debates on the Two Confucian Schools of the Han Dynasty

The ancient Chinese thoughts has two directions: Confucianism and Daoism.From the Western Han Dynasty,there thrived two Confucian schools,whose debates were mostly concentrated on the two historical masterpieces: Gongyang's and Zuo's.Late in the Qing Dynasty,the debates had been intensified and exerted an influence on contemporary academia and the transformation from the traditional to the modern studies.This paper makes a research into Liu Fenglu,the leader of one of the two schools,his study on Zuo's,the criticism of his contemporaries,and his social and political influences.
