Abstract
Based on reviewing the process of health assessment of river ecosystem,the thesis generalized the concept of ecosystem health,introduced the basic theory and analysed normally used assessment methods.Then the model was applied to the ecological health assessment of Chaobai River with the classification of sick,unhealthy,subhealth health,good health.According to the results of assessment,the Chaobai river which scored 1.473 was in the state of unhealthy.
