Abstract
In order to study the chaos in the traffic flow based on couple map model,the time series of the traffic flow are generated by using Matlab program.The changing process of the space headway between the front and the following vehicle are obtained by the simulation.The influence of the model parameters on the movement of the traffic flow is discussed.The analysis of dynamic phase transitions in the traffic flow shows that the chaos exists in the traffic flow indeed,and the system has the characteristics of chaos following the Pomeau-Manneville path due to the variety of model parameter.5 figs,10 refs.
