Abstract
The influence of carbofuran and dirthofencarb on internal acctylcholinesterase (AChE) activity in housefly larvae were studied adopting internal toxic pollution technique; and the possibility of using AChE activity as a biomarker to monitor the pesticide residue in environment was explored prelimilarily. The inhibition rate of AChE activity increased with increase of the concentration of pesticide at the same time. The inhibition rate of AChE activity decreased gradually with the time after pesticide treatment. The AChE activity might be used as an biomarker.
