Abstract
Performance-based aseismic design of residential buildings should be not only technologically advanced, but also a rational structure,safety and practical. It is necessary to reduce the project cost,and to ensure that seismic requirements and the ability to resist the seismic risk. Performance-based aseismic design of residential buildings adopts the combinations of qualitative and quantitative,as well as theory and practice. It should combine Experts, technical personnel and workers,and in line with the existing design standards and norms. The design plan chooses building site and foundation based on project characteristics and functional requirements,residential flat and vertical layout in favor of anti-seismic construction,and selects a reasonable aseismic structural system,a good deal of non-structural components and structural materials.
