Abstract

Objective To establish the reference values of hematological and serum biochemical parameters in Cynomolgus monkeys reared in individual cage and understand the sex differences of those indices. Methods Whole blood was collected from 254 healthy Cynomolgus monkeys(84 male and 170 female) aged 3 to 5 years without anesthesia. The hematological and serum biochemical parameters were determined with automated hematological and biochemical analyzers, and the data were analyzed statistically. Results In the reference values of hematological and serum biochemical parameters, there were different significantly in RBC,HGB,MCHC,HCT,MONO,RDW-CV,MPV,PCT,P-LCR,PDW,IRF,LFR,HFR,ALT,AST,and ALP between male and female(p0.01);there were significant difference in BASO,NEUT%,LYMPH%,MCH,and RDW-SD between male and female(p0.05).Conclusion The reference values of hematological and serum biochemical parameters in Cynomolgus monkeys aged 3 to 5 years are established, and show gender difference in part.
