Abstract
Objective To investigate the effects of tetramethylpraigine on experimental model of lung injury induced by oleic acid in rabbit. Methods The rabbits were randomly assigned to three groups:normal control group (NC),oleic acid group (OA),and tetramethylpraigine+oleic acid group (TMP+OA).Compare the contents of malondialdehyde (MDA) in serum, the contents of MDA and protein in broncho alveolar lavage fluid (BALF) and the wet/dry weight ratio of lung for all 3 groups. Results The MDA contents of serum were significantly lower in group TMP+OA than in group OA(P0.05).The MDA and protein content in BALF and the wet/dry weight ratio of the lung in group TMP+OA did not change significantly as compared with group NC,but these parameters were obviously higher in group OA(P0.01).Conclusion It suggests that TMP has preventive and therapeutic effects on lung injury induced by oleic acid in rabbits.
