Abstract

AIM:To determine four kinds of alkaloids from Rhizoma Coptis from ten provinces and eight kinds of processed Rhizoma Coptis by HPLC.METHODS:A Phenomoil-C18 BDS(250 mm × 4.6 mm,5 μm) column was used,and the mobile phase consisted of acetonitrile-water(45 ∶ 55,with 0.34 g potassium phosphate and 0.17 g SDS),and the detection wavelength was set at 345 nm,and flow rate was 1.0 mL/min with the column tem-perature of 25 ℃.RESULTS: Four kinds of alkaloids which were berberine,pamatine,coptisine and jatrorrhiz-ine could be separated completely,processed Rhizoma Copidis,in the descending order of alkaloids' content,was processed with wine,with vinegar,with ginger juice,with Fructus Evodiae,fied with earth,with bile with salt-wa-ter and carbonizing.CONCLUSION: HPLC is of high sensitivity and good reproducibility.It can be used for quality control of drug and Chinese crude drug containing berberine type alkaloids.
