Abstract
Since the existing methods of harmonic current detection for unbalanced three-phase power system have the errors general,an improved ip、iq algorithm of detecting the harmonic current based on instantaneous reactive power theory is presented. This new method can detect accurately the harmonic current in real-time under the state of the unbalanced power system through establishing the new mathematical models and modeifying the algorithm, which facilitate the active power filter to only compensate the harmonic current in projects.Simulation results with the MATLAB software show that this method offers simplicity of design, reliability, good real-time performance and high detection accuracy.
