Abstract

A strain of phytase producing bacteria was screened from soil. The physiological and biochemical characteristics of the strain were examined. And the phytase was purified from the strain. The optimum temperature and the optimum pH of purified phytase were about 55℃, pH5.5, respectively. The molecular weight of phytase is about 14kD.
