Therapeutic effect of cefdinir for urinary tract infection

Objective To evaluate the clinical efficacy and safety of cefdinir in the treatment of urinary tract infection.Methods 126 patients were randomly divided into two groups.Treatment group 63 cases were offered cefdinir capsules 0.1g,orally 3 times a day,control group 63 cases 0.1 g Levofloxacin Lactate Tablets,orally 2 times a day,7 or 14 days was a course of treatment.Results The total effective rate of cefdinir group and levofloxacin group was 96.8% and 82.5% respectively(P 0.05),the bacterial clearance rates were 95.7% and 84.7%(P 0.01),and the incidence of adverse reactions was 6.3% and 7.9%,respectively.Conclusions Cefdinir is safe and effective drug for treating urinary tract infection.
