Acupoint Selection Rules on Acupuncture in Treating Post-stroke Depression for Past Few Years

Objective:To summarize and analyze the evidence of regularity of acupoints selection of acupuncture treatment of post-stroke depression(PSD)clinical trials in fourteen meridians' acupoints and points by the Extraordinary. Methods:Articles of randomized controlled trails or clinical controlled trails concerning the acupuncture treatment for PSD from 2006 to 2013 were retrieved from the Chinese Journal Full-text Database(CJFD),Chinese Biological Medical Literature Database(CBM),Chinese Periodicals of Science and Technology Database and Wanfang Data. Acupoints included in clinical studies in the literature were classified descriptive statistics respectively and we calculated the commonly-used acupoints and meridians. Results:Totally 85 articles were enrolled. Including 72 main points and 46 secondary points,the most frequently-used points in decreasing order was Baihui,Yintang,Neiguan,Taichong,Sanyinjiao and the most frequently-used meridian is Govenor Vessel(42.86%),followed by Conception Vessel(33.33%),heart Meridian(33.33%),Bladder Meridian of Foot-taiyang(28.36%). A prescription was mainly multiple acupoints,and the head point selection. Conclusion:The modern acupuncture treatment of PSD depression focuses on acupoints on meridians,and also concentrates acupoints on the head and neck,and combines with the reference of traditional Chinese medicine theory. Acupuncture treatment but clinical acupoints and group parties are more complicated and chaos. Further exploration is needed.
