On the Ritual of Shi Dian and the School Education of Tang Dynasty

Generally speaking,the official education of Tang dynasty was the most development period of the ancient education history,and being the model of the school education system in the next thousand years.But with the resurvey of the ritual of Shi Dian(释奠),we found some differences with the traditional viewpoints.It is that the true effect of the official education was not so good,the schools of states and counties existed without significant.a great number of private schools had taken the responsibility of local education.In the meantime,not country,but the people themselves and local elites included some statesmen played an important role in the educational financing.Therefore,it's not suitable for us to judge the official education system as the main of the development of school education according the official history records.Maybe the private education was the real activity of the golden time of Tang dynasty.
