Abstract

The complex [Cu(μ-C_(6)H_(5)COO)_(2)(C_(4)H_(8)O)]_(2) was synthesized by oxidative addition and characterized by X-ray crystallography,FT-IR and ESR.The crystallographic data are: monoclinic,space group P2_(1)/c,a=0.920 1(1) nm,b = 1.769 0(4) nm,c=1.094 9(4) nm,β= 108.97(1)°,V=(1.685 4(3)) nm~(3),Z=2; The complex has the dimeric form with two copper atoms surrounded by four bridging benzoate groups and two tetrahydrofurans.
