Abstract

The Song Dynasty is an important era for the development of prose.Its connotation became stable and had witnessed fruitful creative writings.The prose criticism began to obtain an independent status in bibliography.The favorable cultural policy and imperial examination system as well as other fashions all contributed to the prosperity of prose criticism,which symbolized the final establishment of Chinese prose theory.
