Abstract

Based on field survey,a total of 933 species of seed plants were recorded on Luokeshan,Zhaoqing city,Guangdong province,which belong to 497 genera of 139 families.The flora was dominated by the pantropic element.There were diverse woody plants,including 258 trees,219 shrubs and 61 lianas.Many had high ornamental value in landscape,but their populations were small.By comparison with the adjacent Dinghushan National Natural Reserve,its species richness was low,which possibly due to frequent human disturbances.It was suggested to enhance conservation of natural forest for sustainable utilization of native precious trees.
